Example of the day-to-day work carried out:
Surfaces to be Painted :
- Scrape off any lumps and rub down surfaces with glass paper until smooth.
- Stop in / fill any surface defects with suitable filler, building up the layers as required on larger defects.
- Fill any internal corners and gaps around skirtings & doorframes with decorators caulk therefore losing any “black lines” for a more solid finish.
- Decorate surfaces with required number of coats of paint in colour, sheen and paint type chosen by customer including specialist finishes such as Duette, Portafleck or Scumbling.
Surfaces to be Wallpapered :
- Scrape off any lumps and rub down surfaces with glass paper until smooth.
- Stop in / fill any surface defects with suitable filler, building up the layers as required on larger defects.
- Fill any internal corners and gaps around skirtings & doorframes with decorators caulk therefore losing any “black lines” for a more solid finish.
- Soak paper for required length of time, match patterns and hang wall covering – ensuring all air bubbles expelled for a superior finish.
